The foundations

Like any house, our church has foundations to provide strength and a platform to build upon.

The Bible makes it clear what our foundation should be:

“You are members of God’s family. Together we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.”
(Ephesians 2:21-22 – NLT)

We try to live out these aims through:

To honour God the creator and to celebrate his presence with passion and integrity.

To encourage individual and collective discipleship – becoming more like our Lord Jesus as we grow in our understanding of him.

Sharing the gospel
To communicate the good news about the kingdom of God, which gives purpose in this life and true hope for the future.

To serve the spiritual and, as best we can, the practical needs of others – to show the love of God and the Lord Jesus Christ in action.

A true appreciation of the love of God and of his grace by which we are saved, lies at the heart of all that we try to be and do.
